clim@ is a competition for innovative businesses or projects in the fields of sustainable energy or resource efficiency with the power to change current practices and which demonstrate strong positive climate and environmental impact.
Outstanding applicants will be mentored by qualified experts to present their projects at a pitching event in Frankfurt, Germany. The finalists will get the chance to attend the GGF Sustainable Future Forum in June 2020, a gathering of international stakeholders of the climate finance community organized by the Green for Growth Fund (GGF), where the grand finalists will pitch their projects to receive cash awards to help them scale-up their businesses/projects.

The finalists of the inaugural clim@ competition in 2018 presented their ideas at the Sustainable Future Forum 2018 in Frankfurt. The most promising ideas included recycling livestock waste into cellulose fibers, paper, and bioplastics; making sustainable packaging solutions out of agricultural waste and mushroom mycelium; and innovative solutions for urban electromobility.
The competition not only showcased an impressive range of creative solutions for sustainable production and consumption, the participants also gained the opportunity to network with potential investors and like-minded peers.
